  • What do you dislike or like or dislike about your existing picture? Formal design, natural, contemporary, cottage-feel, etc.
    • Having photos available of what you like can be useful at this point. Not everyone interprets a certain design style in the same manner!
  • What plants would be your favorites, or what colors do you like the most?
  • Can Be more/less privacy a concern? What views on the property are important to enhance or block?
  • During what period do you want to find the landscape at its best? Are four seasons of curiosity that a priority?
  • How do you need to use the space?
  • Do you have some drainage problems that need to be addressed?
  • Just how much maintenance are you prepared to do following the project, or will you contract that outside?

While we cannot provide specific figures at this stage we like to place budget guidelines in place so that we can design a solution that will fit your budget and prevent frustration down the road.

Hopefully, we establish that we’re a good match for one another in this meeting. We will then decide if there’s a design fee needed to proceed forward. Design fees vary depending upon the size and scope of the undertaking, and not all jobs require a design fee. If the two parties agree to proceed, we program a design presentation.
